The MBM Program welcomes two new faculty this fall, Drs. Stephen Boppart and Sepideh Sadaghiani.
Stephen Boppart is a Professor and Grainger Distinguished Chair in Engineering with appointments in the Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Bioengineering. He is also a full-time faculty member at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology.
His Biophotonics Imaging Laboratory focuses on developing novel optical biomedical diagnostic and imaging technologies and translating them into clinical applications. He received his PhD in Medical and Electrical Engineering from MIT. In February 2019, he gave a Frontiers in Miniature Brain Machinery lecture and will give another one in February 2023.
