MBM faculty Gabriel Popescu, professor of electrical and computer engineering, was recently named as one of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering Fellows of the Class of 2021. Popescu was nominated, reviewed, and elected by his peers and members of the College of Fellows for “pioneering contributions in interferometric and quantitative phase imaging to assess the nanoscale tissue architecture and dynamics of live unlabeled cells.”
