Noo Li Jeon, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University, will speak on “Microfluidics and Neuroscience: From 2D Compartmented PDMS Chips to 3D Injection Molded Devices.”
The lecture is free and open to the public via Zoom at 4:00pm, March 17, 2021.
Noo Li Jeon earned his PhD in Material Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in the same at Northwestern University. He has taught at Seoul National University since 2009. From 2001 to 2009, he was an Assistant, then Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. He also held Postdoctoral Researcher positions at Harvard Medical School (Biomedical Engineering, 2000-2001) and Harvard University (Chemistry, 1997-2000).
Jeon has received the Human Frontier Science Program Award (2010) and the Korean BioChip Society Award (2018). He has served on committees for the International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences (MicroTAS), the International Symposium on Microchemistry and Microsystems (ISMM), the International Conference on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS), and the International Conference on Microtechnologies in Medicine and Biology (MMB).
