The MBM Program continues its Frontiers in Miniature Brain Machinery lecture series with Deborah Leckband. She is the Reid T. Milner Professor of Chemical Sciences, a Professor of Chemistry, and one of the core faculty in the MBM Program at the University of Illinois.
Leckband will speak April 8, 2020 at 4pm in Zoom on “Mechano transduction in tissue engineering.” The lecture is open to the public.
Bio:
Leckband’s research is determining how the physical chemical properties of surfaces impacts fundamental biological functions and device/material performance in biological environments. She received her PhD from Cornell University and did her postdoctoral training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
